#### Output Torque

When a Hydraulic Motor is being driven the Output Torque M(Nm) can be calculated by following these steps:

1. Pressure P (bar), typical pressures for hydraulic motors would be up to 250 bar.
2. Motor Efficiency, for hydraulic motors this is in the range 0.85-0.95.
3. Displacement Vg, sizes for hydraulic motors range from 5cm3 to 250cm3

Then press M to calculate, this will be shown in the result box.

If the required Output Torque is known but the motor has yet to be sized then the Displacement Vg(cm3) can be calculated:

1. Pressure P (bar), typical pressures for hydraulic motors would be up to 250 bar.
2. Motor Efficiency, for hydraulic motors this is in the range 0.85-0.95.
3. Output Torque M (Nm).

Then press Vg to calculate, this will be shown in the result box.

If the required Output Torque and Displacement are known but the system Pressure P(bar) has yet to be determined then it can be calculated:

1. Displacement Vg, sizes for hydraulic motors from 5cm3to 250cm3
2. Motor Efficiency, for hydraulic motors this is in the range 0.85-0.95.
3. Output Torque M (Nm).
